Dear friends,
It is a pleasure for me to commend "Movin' With The Spirit," led by Sean Forrest. Sean and his co-workers bring to this ministry a deep love for the Lord, a wonderful openness to the Holy Spirit, and a burning desire to impart the truth, the life and love of Christ to young people everywhere.
Sean has given countless Confirmation Retreats to young people all around the Diocese. He truly opens their eyes and hearts to the Lord and to the wisdom contained in the teaching and worship of the Church. With song, humor, stories and serious teaching, Sean exemplifies the New Evangelization to which the Church calls each of us.
In April 2005, Sean Forrest and "Movin' With The Spirit" will present a concert in the Diocese of Bridgeport called "Wake Up!" I plan to be a part of that joyful event and hope that many young people from all around the Diocese of Bridgeport (and beyond) will attend.
It is my prayer that the Lord will continue to bless Sean and his service to the Church.
Faithfully in Christ,
Most Reverend William E. Lori

Dear Sean,
I would like to commend you for your outstanding efforts at our school over the years. To say your three events were successes would not do you justice. Your message, approach, and charism have moved our entire institution to a new level. They were truly transformative for our school community. In my thirty years in this business, I have never seen any speaker on any subject to be so well received by students and staff. Your day-long retreats for our over 1500 students were tremendous. We were especially delighted with your inspirational message in word and song at our recent commencement ceremony at the Continental Arena attended by about 4000 people.
We will be contacting you about future events at which we would further benefit from your talents.
Sincerely,
James P. Vail

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing a letter of recommendation for Mr. Sean Forrest. 1 have known Scan for at least three years.
Sean is an extremely gifted individual who uses music and scripture to bring the Gospel - The Good News alive for people of all ages. We here at St. Thomas have utilized Sean to enrich and enhance our Confirmation Retreats for young people. Scan has a way of bringing the joys, struggles and celebration of being a Christian with real meaning and excitement.
In today's world people need and are yearning for Spiritual meaning and vision, 1 believe an individual like Sean truly helps in this search. Sean is a strong person of conviction and witness to what it means to be a disciple of Jesus and his ministry and mission. I encourage Sean to continue to share with others who and what he is about as a disciple of the Good News.
If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. Many thanks, for your considerations.

To Whom It May Concern:
Sean Forrest was introduced to our program through a personal referral from one of our Catechists several years ago. Sean Forrest truly is a Youth Minister and "tries to spread ... enthusiasm for Christ and his Church." He is an excellent and relatable presenter.
Sean has lead the Confirmation Retreat of our 9th grade candidates for several years. His retreat presentations include inspiring talks, music and large group games and discussions. His talks include personal testimony, the passion of our Lord and what the world has to offer with a focus on "I can't believe lie loves me that much".
I think that a few direct quotes from our candidates can best describe how Sean has reached the candidates during the retreat:
"It was wonderful! I enjoyed myself and learned a lot"
"Thank you so much, please come again"
"I loved it. Finding myself was a good mission for me to seek"
"I really think that now I know for sure what God is and what lie did for us"
"It was not at all what I expected and it was a lot of fun and it taught me a lot"
"Keep on preaching, kids can really relate"
"Great retreat ... different than I what I thought"
"It really made me think about what's important and the reasons for being confirmed"
Sean uses the art of communication in its most effective mode through his music. I recommend Sean Forrest without hesitation for your consideration.
If I can be of any further assistance, please feel free to contact me at 203-367-1108.

To Whom It May Concern:
Sean Forrest has been a tremendously valuable asset to the students of the St. Mary, Bethel. Since 1999 Sean has been gracious enough to offer a retreat to those students in our parish who are preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation. Through personal witness and use of original music and songs, Sean has helped our students to understand that God is ever-present in each of our lives and realize the grace and beauty that comes with knowing and loving Him. He gently encourages the Confirmands to commit to nurturing their personal relationship with Christ.
Sean has the unique gift of easily relating to the students and seems to bond with them because he understands where the students are coming from, and treats them accordingly. The students are open to him and his ideas and I think come away with the feeling that "if a guy as cool as Sean really embraces Jesus as Lord, maybe it's a good thing."
Many students have commented that Sean's retreat has helped to change their lives; they say they pray more and are constantly aware of Christ's presence within them. I think that our parish's senior youth group and their willingness to travel to another country to help rebuild homes and run a "Bible Camp" during their vacation bears out the influence that Sean initiated. My daughter, Julia, attended Sean's retreat in 20o1 and said "that it helped her to prepare for Confirmation because it helped her to look at her life from a different perspective."
Sean does an extraordinary job of moving our somewhat passive students to active participants in the
journey of seeking Christ.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am very pleased to recommend Sean Forrest for his work with our Parish in our Confirmation Program. I have had the pleasure of working with Sean on several Confirmation retreats and youth ministry retreats at Christ The King Church in Trumbull.
Sean is an outstanding advocate for the youth of Connecticut. His love of young people swells from his very existence. During the retreats that Sean has run, the Love Ethic of Christ has been communicated in a down-to-earth manner that our young Catholics really connect with. Sean's love for Christ, his dedication to the Church, his motivation and his dedication to the young are clearly evident by the response from the parents.
Through his creativity and use of music, young Christians can easily connect the modern world with the universal, spiritual lessons of the Gospel. For example, after our last retreat with Sean, the students repeatedly asked him to return to the parish to run more programs for them. He is truly an asset to the Roman Catholic Church and to the community he represents as a leader. He brings the Word to life.
For the above reasons, I am pleased that Sean has chosen to dedicate his life to the spiritual growth of the young adults in our community of Christ. I feel, as well as our Pastor, that Sean will be an invaluable asset to the youth and to our diocese. We have used him in the past and will continue to use him in the future for our Confirmation Retreats. Please contact me if I can be of further assistance.
Sincerely,
Carol Schuerlein
